TOP 5 MOVIES with SHITTY ENDINGS

5. The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Did this movie ever actually end? After about thirteen different false endings, I think most of us in the audience were counting down the seconds until the actual credits began to roll.
We get that you want to have a ridiculously long epic movie, but you shouldn’t have to tack on random endings just to drag it out. Seriously, though. Some of us really need to use the restroom.

4. Signs
I’ll just get straight to the point with this one. No sense in hem-hawing around with fancy language and summaries: The alien was killed by water.
Water.
A cup of water fell onto the alien and killed it. M. Night Shyamalan, we thought you were better than that.

3. Castaway
“Castaway” is truly a magnificent film. Tom Hanks showed the world what a remarkable talent he really is, carrying an entire movie on his own shoulders, spending hours acting off of nothing but the ocean, an island, and a ball with a face on it. What other actor could pull that off?
Unfortunately, though, the ending was a pretty huge disappointment for most viewers.
When he finally returned to civilization, he found that his family and friends had moved on without him. His girlfriend had married another man and started a family. On top of that, viewers never found out the contents of the mysterious package, either.

2. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
This movie was pretty silly in general. Even so, the ending put the rest of the movie to shame in the shitty department.
After everything that happened in the film, it was all explained away by aliens. Really, aliens. Not only did they bring aliens into the picture completely out of the blue, but they even had the aliens leave without so much as an actual conflict. What kind of pathetic anticlimactic ending is that?

1. X-Men: The Last Stand
Spoiler alert: everyone dies.
Okay, that isn’t entirely true, but the fact of the matter is that the good guys lose. The trilogy ends with the X-Men being defeated. What fan wanted to see that?
